Education adviser Abdulatif Al-Hammadi said that school curricula in Saudi Arabia are updated on an annual basis.

Speaking to Al-Ekhbariya TV, Al-Hammadi explained that this process is carried out in cooperation with several entities to ensure the curricula’s development and alignment with the requirements of the Saudi labor market.

He added that the updates aim to create advanced and coherent curricula, with students now studying subjects such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, industry, and technology. He noted that teachers will also receive training to keep pace with these educational developments.

Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan recently confirmed that 22 subjects have been updated for the new academic year, and 50 educational units on artificial intelligence have been introduced as part of efforts to advance the Kingdom’s education system.

Al-Benyan stated that the ministry has evaluated all schools across the Kingdom over the past three years to enhance educational outcomes. He also highlighted a comprehensive professional development plan for teachers, describing it as one of the largest training initiatives in the education sector.
