Qiddiya marks first Saudi National Day with entertainment and cultural events

Qiddiya City is hosting its first Saudi National Day celebration since opening to the public, under the theme "Play brings us to life, and the nation protects us." The program features a range of entertainment, cultural, and interactive experiences at both Six Flags and Aquarabia.

Events are spread across both destinations, including interactive shows and experiences. The festivities will peak today at 10:30 p.m. with light displays and roaming entertainment troupes, while Qiddiya’s cliffs will be illuminated in green, creating a vibrant scene of light, movement, and sound to mark the national occasion.

Activities continue at Aquarabia from September 23 to 26, while Six Flags will host an improv comedy show as part of the celebrations on September 25 and 26.

The celebrations feature a creative identity inspired by the concept "Our resolve echoes through the mountains," reflecting the city’s mountainous landscape and highlighting elements of local culture, heritage, and environment in the visitor experiences.

The program includes experiences inspired by local traditions, such as the Falcon Glove at City of Thrill in partnership with stc, the Discovery Mirror inspired by the map of Saudi Arabia and traditional pottery, and the Twilight Garden, which draws on Najdi doors, lavender, and palm weaving art in collaboration with Floward.
