Yemeni official warns Houthi escalation threatens regional security

Yemeni Ministry of Information adviser Dr. Arif Abu Hatim said the Houthi militia is adopting escalatory tactics that threaten the security and stability of the region, calling on the international community to take a firm stance against their actions.

Speaking in an interview with Al Ekhbariya TV, he added that Taiz holds particular significance for the Houthis, and if they gain control of the city, their crimes there would be severe.

Abu Hatim noted that the group has legitimized fighting against anyone who opposes them, whether politically, ideologically, or religiously.
