AIPolitical analyst Wathiq Al-Jabari said that "Iraq is seeking to distance itself from all regional and international conflicts."
Speaking to Al Arabiya FM, Al-Jabari added that "Iraq rejects the use of its territory as a launchpad for attacks on any friendly or neighboring state, as such actions would create crises at a time when Iraq aims to improve relations and build partnerships with various countries."
The analyst also noted that Iraqi Prime Minister Alaa Al-Zaidi has granted security forces the authority to act immediately and take appropriate measures if any threat to neighboring countries arises.
He continued, saying that "a number of Iraqi forces have been deployed to monitor desert areas, and the government has implemented several measures to ensure that weapons remain solely under state control, taking action against those who do not comply."
The Iraqi prime minister has also decided to form a joint security committee and establish strict mechanisms to prevent any threats or violations originating from Iraqi territory against neighboring states. He has tasked security agencies with enforcing the law and protecting sovereignty, affirming the armed forces' readiness to thwart any attacks and Iraq's commitment, in line with international law, not to allow its land to be used as a base or corridor for aggression against other countries.
