Syrian president urges Israeli withdrawal from occupied territories

Syrian President Ahmed Al-Shara has called on Israel to withdraw from Syrian territories.

In a speech at the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, Al-Shara reaffirmed that the Golan Heights will remain Syrian land.

He added that Syria is moving forward with reconstruction as the country rises and begins its recovery, rejecting Israel's ongoing attempts to impose a new reality on the ground.

Al-Shara also accused Israel of carrying out airstrikes, artillery attacks, and detaining Syrian citizens, stating that Syria is open to the future and peace, and is reclaiming its role as a vibrant heart of the region.
