Jazan University hosts science exhibition for World Chemistry Day

Jazan University, represented by the College of Sciences, organized a science exhibition on World Chemistry Day to promote community awareness of the role of chemistry in daily life and to support sustainable development and scientific research.

The exhibition featured experiments and scientific demonstrations presented by students, focusing on advances in chemistry and its applications in industrial, environmental, and health fields. It also highlighted chemistry’s contributions to innovative solutions and improving quality of life.

The event saw broad participation from community members, students, and faculty, along with discussions on chemistry’s role in developing modern industries and supporting research and development across various sectors, reinforcing chemistry as a foundation for scientific and technological progress.

Dean of the College of Sciences, Dr. Hussein bin Mousa Al-Nashri, said that organizing scientific events enriches the research and innovation environment, transfers knowledge from laboratories and classrooms to the community, and strengthens the college’s role in promoting scientific culture and supporting sustainable development.
