Absher Safar enables travelers to complete border crossing requirements online

Saudi Arabia’s Absher Safar service now allows travelers to complete all travel requirements electronically before arriving at land border crossings.

According to the General Directorate of Traffic, this includes registering traveler and vehicle information, as well as the option to finalize vehicle insurance, making entry procedures into the Kingdom more efficient.

Both Gulf and non-Gulf visitors entering Saudi Arabia via land borders can use the service. Visitors can also access Absher Safar through the Absher app without needing to log in.

To use the service, travelers can open the Absher app, select “Absher Safar for Visitors” from the general services menu, choose their ID type, enter the required information, select the border crossing and expected travel date, fill in personal and vehicle details, and complete vehicle insurance procedures.
