Severe winds and dust storms forecast for Eastern Province

The National Center for Meteorology issued a warning on Tuesday of severe winds reaching speeds between 40 and 49 kilometers per hour, impacting several cities and governorates in the Eastern Province.

The alert covers Dammam and Dhahran, as well as the governorates of Hafar Al-Batin, Khafji, Nairyah, Qaryat Al-Ulya, Ras Tanura, Jubail, Qatif, Alkhobar, Buqayq, Al-Ahsa, and nearby villages and centers.

Moderate rain and reduced visibility

The center noted that the governorates of Al-Udayd and Dha'bloutan are experiencing moderate rainfall, which has stirred up dust and reduced horizontal visibility to between 3 and 5 kilometers, particularly in open areas and on highways.

The National Center for Meteorology added that these conditions are expected to persist, God willing, until 9 p.m.
