King Abdulaziz name to be given to new mosque in north Riyadh

Riyadh Governor Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz has expressed his gratitude, on behalf of himself and the people of Riyadh, to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the royal directive to name a new mosque in north Riyadh after King Abdulaziz. The mosque will be constructed on an 88,000-square-meter site along King Abdulaziz Road.

He stated that the directive, issued by the King following a proposal from the Crown Prince, aims to commemorate the legacy of the Kingdom’s founder, King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman, in the national memory.

“Caring for and building mosques is a fundamental principle of our leadership,” he said. “The King Abdulaziz Mosque continues this tradition, highlighting the leadership’s commitment to the nation’s history and its leaders, reflecting values of loyalty and unity, and underscoring the Kingdom’s rich heritage on all levels.”

The governor prayed for God to protect the King and Crown Prince and to grant the nation continued security, prosperity, and stability.
