Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Commerce has reported significant growth in economic activities within the tourism sector for 2026, with active commercial registrations rising between 32% and 52% across several areas. This trend highlights expanding business and investment opportunities, as well as the development of new tourist destinations in the Kingdom, in line with the goals of Vision 2030.

In an official statement, the ministry said commercial registrations for tourist lodges grew by 52% over the year, reaching 18,115 by the end of the third quarter of 2026, compared to 11,900 during the same period in 2025.

Commercial registrations for tourist accommodation facilities also rose by 37% to 18,956, up from 13,819 in the same period last year.

The number of commercial registrations for tour guides increased by 33%, reaching a total of 7,735, compared to 5,784 at the end of the third quarter of 2025. Meanwhile, registrations for travel organizing activities grew by 32% to 11,949, up from 9,057 in the same period last year.

The ministry emphasized that the growth in tourism-related economic activities reflects expanding opportunities for the business sector, stimulates commercial activity, and supports the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises. It also leverages Saudi Arabia’s diverse tourism assets, including its strategic location, natural and geographic variety, and rich cultural heritage, all of which enhance its appeal as one of the world’s most promising tourist destinations.
