Border Guard in Jazan arrests Ethiopian for smuggling 140 kg of khat

Land patrols of the Border Guard in Al-Daer sector, Jazan region, have arrested an Ethiopian national for violating border security regulations by attempting to smuggle 140 kilograms of the narcotic plant khat.

Initial legal procedures have been completed, and both the suspect and the seized items have been handed over to the relevant authorities.

Security authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information related to drug smuggling or trafficking activities by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, 999 or 994 in other regions, the General Directorate of Narcotics Control hotline at 995, or by emailing [email protected].
