Taiz governor praises Saudi Arabia's historic support for Yemen

Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan met with several sheikhs, dignitaries, and social figures in Al-Shamayatayn district as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen national unity and consolidate the internal front against the Iran-backed Houthi militia.

According to Yemen's Saba news agency, Shamsan praised the brotherly, pivotal, and historic support provided by Saudi Arabia, as well as its steadfast positions in backing the Yemeni people to restore their state and confront the threat posed by Iranian-backed terrorist militias.

Shamsan stressed that the security of the governorate is a red line and not subject to compromise, affirming that the dignity of its people, the blood of its martyrs, and their sacrifices are national constants that cannot be relinquished. He commended Taiz's historic role in preserving the state, describing it as a model of struggle, freedom, coexistence, and social peace, as well as a strategic reservoir of national talent and expertise.

The governor emphasized that Taiz will remain steadfast and will not allow internal divisions to become a vulnerability exploited by enemies. He noted that the meeting reflects unity and readiness to protect the governorate, uphold its dignity, and honor the sacrifices of martyrs and the wounded.

For their part, the sheikhs and dignitaries of Al-Shamayatayn district reaffirmed their full support for the local authorities and state institutions, expressing their readiness to continue making sacrifices to enhance security and stability and to complete the liberation of the governorate.
