Civil Defense issues early warning for Riyadh, Najran and Wadi Al-Dawasir

The General Directorate of Civil Defense has issued an alert through the National Early Warning Platform for Emergencies in Riyadh, Najran, and Wadi Al-Dawasir, warning of potential danger.

Civil Defense urged residents who receive warning messages to remain calm, follow official instructions, immediately move to the nearest safe place inside a building or an interior room away from windows, and stay there until the threat has passed. People were advised not to leave their homes or buildings before that time.

The authority emphasized the importance of avoiding open areas and glass, not standing on balconies or rooftops, and for those outdoors, to enter the nearest building or take cover behind a solid barrier. Residents were also told to avoid gathering, taking photos, and staying away from hazardous locations.

Anyone receiving the alert while driving was advised to pull over to the side of the road, away from bridges and tall buildings.

Residents were urged to call the emergency number 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or 998 in other parts of the Kingdom, if they notice any danger, and to follow instructions from authorities through official channels.
