Thunderstorms forecast to continue across parts of Makkah region

The National Center for Meteorology has forecast continued thunderstorms across parts of the Makkah region from Monday, September 28, through Friday, October 2, 2026, with varying intensity and periods of impact.

According to the center’s report, moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in Makkah city, as well as the governorates of Al-Kamil, Al-Jumum, Bahrah, Taif, Maysan, Adham, and Al-Ardiyat.

Light to moderate rain is also forecast for the governorates of Al-Laith and Al-Qunfudhah, as part of the anticipated weather system’s impact.

The center urged the public to follow the latest updates, reports, and warnings via its website, the "Anwa" app, and official social media accounts for details on affected areas and timing.
