Yemeni political analyst Dr. Fares Al-Beel said the Houthis’ insistence on targeting Makkah demonstrates the nature of their anti-Islamic holy sites agenda.

Speaking to Al Arabiya FM, he added that the Houthis’ actions clearly reveal the underlying hostility of their project toward Islamic sanctities, particularly the holy sites in Saudi Arabia. Despite their claims of belonging to Islam, the group’s ideology stands in opposition to these rituals and practices.

He continued that the Houthi militia carries out such provocations because it is a dangerous group lacking both political vision and methodology, openly displaying its hostility toward Muslims, their holy sites, and the land of the Two Holy Mosques. The group also seeks to demonstrate to Iran its ability to reach these areas.

Al-Beel noted that all Houthi attempts have so far ended in complete failure, adding that there is no greater crime than launching missiles at Yemeni civilians and inside Saudi Arabia.
