Yemeni Government Thanks Saudi Arabia for Additional Assistance to Safer Tanker’s Rescue Operations
The Yemeni government has voiced appreciation for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s announcement of an additional USD8 million in assistance to address the threat posed by the "Safer" floating storage oil tanker off the coast of Yemen.
Yemeni Information Minister Muammar Al-Eryani was quoted in the official website of Yemen News Agency (SABA) as explaining that the new Saudi aid is to be added to the previous USD10 million support the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has extended to the United Nations-led rescue operations of the Safer oil tanker.
The minister hailed the Saudi support as a continuation of the Kingdom’s brotherly support to the Yemeni government and people.
