Schneider Electric Strengthens Its Made in KSA Power Products Portfolio with MasterPacT MTZ Active
Next-generation digital air circuit breaker builds on the Masterpact NW legacy to support faster troubleshooting, safer maintenance, and greater uptime across critical facilities in the Kingdom
Schneider Electric, the leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has strengthened its Made in KSA power products portfolio with MasterPacT MTZ Active, a new generation of digital air circuit breakers designed to help critical facilities improve uptime, speed up troubleshooting, and enhance maintenance safety.
Building on Schneider Electric’s established Masterpact NW legacy in the Kingdom, MasterPacT MTZ Active marks the next chapter in the company’s power products journey in Saudi Arabia. The solution supports the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 industrial transformation agenda by combining advanced electrical infrastructure, digital intelligence, and strong in-market capability to meet the needs of fast-growing sectors across the Kingdom.
As Saudi Arabia accelerates investment in data centres, healthcare facilities, airports, hospitality destinations, utilities, industrial zones, and giga-projects, the need for resilient low-voltage power infrastructure is growing rapidly. In these environments, even short power interruptions can affect safety, operations, productivity, and customer experience. MasterPacT MTZ Active gives facility teams greater visibility at the breaker level, helping them identify issues faster and restore power with more confidence.
“With MasterPacT MTZ Active, we are advancing a clear commitment: to make Saudi Arabia’s electrical infrastructure safer, smarter, and more resilient,” said Mohamed Shaheen, Cluster President of Schneider Electric Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Yemen and Bahrain. “This milestone builds on our Masterpact NW legacy in the Kingdom and reflects our contribution to Vision 2030 by combining Made in KSA products capabilities with digital technologies that help customers improve uptime, protect people, and operate more efficiently.”
MasterPacT MTZ Active transforms the air circuit breaker from a passive protection device into a source of operational intelligence. Through local status visibility, diagnostics, measurements, and trip information, maintenance teams can better understand what happened, where the issue occurred, and what action is required — reducing uncertainty during critical power events.
A core safety feature of MasterPacT MTZ Active is Energy Reduction Maintenance Setting, or ERMS, which helps reduce arc flash exposure during live maintenance activities. Activated through a one-push-button function with screen confirmation, ERMS supports safer intervention for technicians working in demanding electrical environments, including industrial plants, utilities, airports, hospitals, data centres, and large commercial facilities.
“For facility teams, the value of MasterPacT MTZ Active is speed and clarity,” said Mosab Al Musailhi, Head of Customer Satisfaction & Quality at Schneider Electric. “When a power event occurs, teams need to understand the breaker status and trip cause quickly. MTZ Active brings that intelligence directly to the equipment level, supporting faster troubleshooting and more informed maintenance decisions.”
MasterPacT MTZ Active reinforces Schneider Electric’s role in supporting Saudi Arabia’s local content and industrial transformation priorities. By combining our Made in KSA products capabilities with advanced digital power technologies, Schneider Electric is helping customers, panel builders, contractors, and consultants modernize electrical infrastructure while strengthening supply chain resilience and technical capability in the local market.
MasterPacT MTZ Active has already been launched in Saudi Arabia and is available to order through Schneider Electric’s official distributors.
The solution is suited for data centres and cloud infrastructure, healthcare facilities, airports and transport networks, hospitality developments, industrial plants, utilities, large commercial buildings, panel builders, contractors, and consultants.
