Taif University ranked third locally and ninth in the Arab University Rankings, ahead of many Arab universities.

The Arab University Rankings take into consideration the quality of teaching and learning, the evaluation of curricula, the level of satisfaction of students and graduates, and scientific research.
It also takes into account the university's contribution to the academic community, societal impact, innovative solutions to meet local and regional challenges, and the diversity of international students and faculty members working in research.
