Social Responsibility Forum to Discuss the Role of Media

Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary will sponsor tomorrow the second Social Responsibility Forum, held by the Social Responsibility Association, at the Saudi Press Agency conference center.

The two-day event will bring together media professionals, academics, and Shura Council members to discuss the role of the media in fostering social responsibility in public, private, and nonprofit sectors, showcase successful experiences, and identify challenges that the media face.

The first podcast dedicated to social responsibility, created in collaboration between the association and MBC Group, will be launched at the forum, which will also introduce the first magazine focused on this topic, which covers various issues, and developments in the field.

Chairman of the association's Board of Directors Saud Al-Subaie said the association is committed to expanding collaboration with key stakeholders in social responsibility, with particular emphasis on media outlets.

Honorary chair of the association Princess Hessa bint Salman bin Abdulaziz thanked the minister of media for sponsoring the forum, and expressed hope that the event will foster collaboration between media and community institutions, to promote "responsible standards and values".
