Saudi Minister of Culture Visits 'AlUla, Wonder of Arabia' Exhibition in China

Saudi Minister of Culture and Governor of the Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan has visited the "AlUla, Wonder of Arabia" exhibition held in Beijing's Forbidden City, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The minister toured the pavilions at the exhibition, stopping to see the artifacts that portray the rich civilizations of AlUla throughout history, and was briefed on the exhibition program, which aligns with AlUla's vision in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030.

Highlighting unique aspects of AlUla's diverse history, the exhibition features landmarks such as the statues of Dadan, the ancient capital of the Dadan and Lihyan Kingdoms, films depicting the tombs carved in the stone mountains of Hegra (Saudi Arabia's first UNESCO World Heritage Site), and bronze archaeological findings from the site, which was the primary southern city of the Nabataean Kingdom.

The exhibition, a collaborative effort between RCU and the French Agency for AlUla Development, opened in early January and has had nearly a quarter of a million visitors so far.
