

A signing ceremony was held yesterday, at the Tunisian Ministry of Health, for contracts to complete two local hospitals in Sbiba (Kasserine Governorate) and El Jem (Mahdia Governorate), funded by a loan from the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD).
Attending the ceremony were Tunisian Minister of Health Dr. Mustapha Ferjani, Saudi Ambassador to Tunisia Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Saqr, and SFD Director General of Arab Countries Operations Eng. Bandar Al-Obaid.
Ferjani thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince for their unwavering support of Tunisia.
He emphasized that this project builds upon the Kingdom's longstanding commitment to strengthening the Tunisian healthcare sector.
He also highlighted the development witnessed by Saudi-Tunisian relations in various fields.
Al-Saqr underscored the Kingdom's dedication to accelerating the implementation of joint development projects in Tunisia, financed through various Saudi entities.
He further emphasized SFD's commitment to the successful completion of all its sponsored projects across Tunisia.
The Saudi Fund for Development has significantly contributed to Tunisia's development, providing funding for 32 development projects and programs through soft loans exceeding $1.23 billion.
The Kingdom has also provided four grants worth over $105 million, through SFD, to support vital sectors in Tunisia.
