The Saudi Film Commission is participating in the Red Sea International Film Festival, taking place in Jeddah from December 4 to 13.

This festival is a significant event in the region and marks the first international film festival held in Saudi Arabia.

Its mission is to support new and promising Saudi and Arab films and showcase a variety of creative global productions.

According to a press release issued by the commission, it will host a special panel discussion titled "Meet the Saudi Funders," featuring key Saudi investors who will discuss the types of projects they are interested in supporting and the application processes. Additionally, the commission will organize a roundtable session in collaboration with The Hollywood Reporter, featuring insights from both local and international experts.

The Film Commission will also showcase screenings of Saudi films that received support through the Daw' (Light) program.

Among these films is "Hijrah," which represents Saudi Arabia at the 98th Academy Awards.

Other films, such as "Sharshura" ("The Hearse"), "Al-Majhoola" (Unidentified), "The Cradle," and the "Opening Ceremony" will also be featured in the festival's lineup.

A delegation from the commission will attend, along with an informational booth highlighting its initiatives to support the growth of the film industry.

Through its participation, the commission aims to boost its local and international position as a leader in the film sector, showcasing the incredible talent of Saudi creators on the global stage.

The aim is not just to foster sustainable growth but to ignite collaborations that bridge local and international filmmakers, paving the way for exciting new opportunities.
