Saudi Arabia has condemned the terrorist attack near Afghanistan's Foreign Ministry, which resulted in the death and injury of several innocent people.

A statement published by the Foreign Affairs Ministry expressed Saudi Arabia's total rejection of all forms of violence, terrorism and extremism, confirming that the Kingdom will stand by the Afghan people in this calamity. The ministry offered its sincere condolences and sympathy to the deceased's families and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

Afghan police said at least five civilians were killed in the suicide bombing in front of the Afghan Foreign Ministry in the capital, Kabul., but aTaliban official put the death toll up to 20 on Wednesday. The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Dr. Nayef Falah Mubarak Al-Hajraf has also condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the Afghan capital, stressing the GCC's firm position and rejection of all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism.
