More than 1,250 people benefited from the Buraidah Dates Carnival’s tourist bus, enjoying daily tours around the city of Buraidah and learning about its history, cultural heritage, and economic landmarks.
The tours began at King Khalid Cultural Center, the venue of the carnival, and passed through several prominent sites in the city.
Visitors were accompanied by specialized tour guides who provided historical and cultural information about Buraidah and its social and economic heritage, contributing to the growth of tourism and highlighting Buraidah's status as a global capital of dates and a destination for visitors from both within and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The tourist bus program is considered a valuable addition to the carnival’s events, which feature a diverse range of activities, including cultural, artistic, and entertainment programs, workshops, auctions, folk performances, a heritage photography corner, and exhibitions. These activities are designed to showcase the work of families in the cottage industry and artisans, allowing them to display their handicrafts and local products.
