NCM Forecasts Moderate to Heavy Rains in Saudi Arabia Starting Sunday

The National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has forecast moderate to heavy rain in most regions of the Kingdom, starting this Sunday, January 05 and continuing until Wednesday, January 08.

During this period, strong winds reaching up to 60 km/h, will stir up dust, and torrential rain, hail, and high waves along the coasts are possible.

Rain will fall in the Tabuk, Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, Madinah, Makkah, Hail, Qassim, Riyadh, Eastern, Al-Baha, and Aseer regions.

According to NCM, rain will fall in the Tabuk and Madinah regions on Sunday and Monday, in Al-Jouf and the Northern Borders it will rain from Sunday evening to Tuesday, while Hail and Qassim regions will be affected on Monday and Tuesday.

Rain will fall in the Riyadh Region from Monday to Wednesday, in the Eastern Region on Tuesday and Wednesday, and in the Makkah region on Monday and Tuesday.

NCM urges all individuals to keep updated about the weather conditions by visiting the daily reports on its website, the "Anwaa" application, and its social media accounts.

For the sake of safety, the centre also advises that instructions issued by the relevant authorities be carefully followed.
