Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah participated on Friday in the Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), held in Jeddah.

The extraordinary ministerial meeting was convened at the joint request of Islamic countries.

The purpose of this meeting was to promote unity among the Islamic world and to intensify efforts to end the Israeli occupation and aggression in the Palestinian territories and the Syrian Arab Republic.

Additionally, the meeting aimed to address the violations that threaten the security and stability of the region.

During the meeting, Prince Faisal emphasized the importance of sustaining and implementing the ceasefire in Gaza and obligating Israel to adhere to international law and cease its violations.

He expressed total rejection to any calls for the displacement of the Palestinian people from their land, as well as to any efforts to impose solutions that fail to align with the legitimate aspirations of the Palestinian people to determine their own fate.

The minister cautioned about the serious repercussions on both the region and the world, highlighting the Kingdom’s ongoing collaboration with partner and friendly countries via the "Global Alliance for Implementation of the Two-State Solution."

He also welcomed Syria’s return to the OIC and expressed hope that Syria would contribute and participate with its brothers to promote the OIC's action.
