Holy Kaaba Periodic Maintenance Begins

The periodic maintenance of the Holy Kaaba commenced today under the supervision of the Ministry of Finance's Project Management Department and in coordination with other concerned government agencies, in continuation of efforts and directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and under direct follow-up from HRH Crown Prince.

This effort is a continuation of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman government's ongoing commitment to caring for and elevating the Holy Kaaba, ensuring its sanctity, and preserving all its elements to maintain its optimal condition.

The Project Management Department of the Ministry of Finance oversees the progress of works, engaging an exceptional group of professionals dedicated to managing the expansion projects of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

Since its establishment in 1438 AH, the Project Management Department has been actively supervising the expansion projects of the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

It had also assumed supervision of the previous periodic maintenance work on the elements of the Holy Kaaba, which took place in Shawwal 1440 AH and Dhul-Hijjah 1442 AH.
