Foreign Minister Arrives in Gambia for Islamic Summit Conference

On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah arrived Saturday in the Gambian capital, Banjul to head the Kingdom’s delegation participating in the 15th session of the Islamic Summit Conference under the theme of “Enhancing unity and solidarity through dialogue for sustainable development.”

The Foreign Minister will discuss with the leaders of countries and representatives of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) various issues of concern, such as the Palestinian issue and recent developments in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings.

The Foreign Minister will also hand over the presidency of the Summit to the Republic of The Gambia for its fifteenth session after previously chairing the Kingdom for the fourteenth session.
