Saudi foreign minister attends GCC-ASEAN ministerial meeting in New York

Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan participated in the joint ministerial meeting between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), held in New York on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

The meeting discussed the partnership between the GCC and ASEAN, reviewing the progress made in recent years and exploring ways to advance cooperation into practical projects and initiatives that serve shared interests.

Participants also examined opportunities to expand collaboration in priority sectors, including economic, trade, investment, and development fields, and stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation on regional and international issues.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Abdulrahman bin Ibrahim Al-Rassi, Deputy Minister for Multilateral International Affairs and Supervisor General of the Ministry’s Agency for Economic and Development Affairs.
