The Governor of the Eastern Region, Prince Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, was briefed today on a major tourism and entertainment project aimed at enhancing the region's offerings.
The multi-use resort, valued at SAR1.4 billion, will be developed on Half Moon Beach.
The meeting was attended by key stakeholders, including Eastern Region Mayor Eng. Fahad Al-Jubeir; CEO of the Eastern Region Development Authority Eng. Omar bin Saleh Al-Abdullatif; CEO of Ashraq Development and Development Company Eng. Zaki bin Hassan Al-Omran; Head of the Business Sector at the Tourism Development Fund Naif Al-Madi; Head of the Eastern Sector at the National Water Company Eng. Adel Al-Ghamdi; and Executive Director of FTG International Group Fatih Tamince.
The project, operating under the Rixos brand and managed by global hospitality leader Accor, will span over 262,000 square meters and include 400 hotel units and 41 villas. It will feature a variety of restaurants, cafés, and entertainment facilities, positioning it as the first all-inclusive coastal resort in the Eastern Province.
Funded by the Tourism Development Fund and supported by foreign investment from FTG International Group, the project aligns with Saudi Arabia's national tourism strategy.
It seeks to enhance the quality of life in the region, contribute to the Kingdom's GDP, and strengthen tourism offerings in the Eastern Province.
Eastern Region Mayor Eng. Al-Jubeir expressed gratitude to Prince Saud for his support and commended the collaboration among stakeholders in advancing such transformative tourism initiatives.
