AlUla's First Desert Blaze Summer Run to Take Place on August 26th
AlUla will host for the first time on Saturday, August 26th, the AlUla Desert Blaze, a unique running challenge where runners from all over the world come together to compete amidst soaring summer temperatures of 42°C (107°F). Chief Tourism Officer at the Royal Commission for AlUla Phillip Jones said that AlUla Desert Blaze is a unique and transformative experience that will give everyone taking part a unique perspective of the ancient city of AlUla. The race starts in Saudi Arabia's first UNESCO Heritage Site of Hegra for runners participating in the 5km, 10km, and 21km races. Those participating in the 42km route will begin their journey in the heart of the Ashar Valley at Maraya, the record-breaking multi-purpose entertainment venue.
