Al-Ahsa Municipality yesterday showcased its experience in recycling construction materials during a workshop titled “Al-Ahsa Municipality’s Experience in Using Recycled Construction Materials,” attended by specialists from the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing and municipalities across the Kingdom.
Acting Mayor of Al-Ahsa Mohammed Almaghlouth emphasized that the municipality has paid great attention to developing practical solutions that enable the re-use of construction waste as materials for infrastructure projects, instead of being an environmental and economic burden.
From this perspective, the municipality launched an initiative to recycle construction waste at its environmental landfill and utilize it in roadworks and municipal projects.
The initiative aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, which places sustainability, environmental protection, and quality of life at the forefront of its priorities.
