6.8-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Off New Zealand's South Island Coast

An earthquake measuring 6.8 rocked off the coast of New Zealand's main South Island today.

According to the US Geological Survey, the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers and about 100 kilometers from the South Island.

There have been no reports of casualties or damage so far.
