Experts highlight regenerative medicine’s promise for women’s health

A specialized scientific symposium organized by the Regenerative Medicine Society highlighted the latest research trends and promising applications of regenerative medicine in women’s reproductive health, including ovarian and endometrial regeneration and fertility preservation, as well as women’s health during menopause.

The virtual symposium, titled “Regenerative Medicine in Women’s Reproductive Health,” was held recently with the participation of physicians, researchers, and specialists in women’s health, reproductive medicine, endocrinology, and regenerative medicine. The event aimed to review current scientific evidence and future directions related to fertility and women’s health across different life stages.

The symposium was chaired by Dr. Namsha Al-Hajri, consultant in obstetrics and gynecology and board member of the Regenerative Medicine Society, who specializes in mature women’s health, menopause, and cosmetic gynecology, and holds the Saudi Board in obstetrics and gynecology.

Dr. Hamad Ali Al-Sufyan discussed recent developments in ovarian regeneration, presenting new concepts and trends in using regenerative approaches to support ovarian function and reproductive health. Dr. Majed Al-Haddah delivered a lecture titled “Endometrial Regeneration: Current Evidence and Future Prospects,” reviewing available scientific evidence and research directions related to restoring and supporting endometrial function.

Dr. Firuza Ghafarova addressed the transition from menopause to the concept of longevity, highlighting the growing role of bioidentical hormone therapy and discussing advances related to women’s health during menopause, quality of life, and long-term health.

The scientific program concluded with a lecture by Professor Islam M. Saad Eldin on “The Emerging Role of Exosomes in Fertility Preservation,” in which he reviewed promising research applications of exosomes in reproductive medicine and fertility preservation.

According to a report by the Regenerative Medicine Society, the symposium contributed to enhancing knowledge of current and future uses of regenerative medicine in women’s reproductive health, linking clinical practice with the latest scientific and research developments, and supporting knowledge exchange among physicians, researchers, and healthcare practitioners.
