
Saudi Arabia has been named to host the 2020 Dakar International Rally that kicks off next January, the General Authority for Sports announced.
The General Authority announced thedecision after a meeting held at Al-Giddiyah, west of Riyadh, in the attendanceof Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Board of Directors ofthe Sports Authority; Prince Khalid bin Sultan, Chairman of the SaudiFederation for Automobiles and Motorbikes; Michael Rieneger, Al-GiddiyahExecutive Manager; David Castera, the Director of Dakar Rally; and seniorofficials and media representatives.
