The Ministry of Health said in a statement today that 1,877 new confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) have been reported in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, bringing the total number to 85,261 cases, including 22,316 active cases receiving necessary medical care. Of these, there are 453 critical cases, while the health condition of the rest is stable. As many as 3,559 cases have recovered, bringing the total recoveries to 62,442.

"The new confirmed cases include 43% Saudi citizens and 57% non-Saudi residents. The females represent 30% of the cases, while the males represent 70%. Only 5% of the reported cases are older persons, 12% are children and 83% are adults," the Ministry of Health said.

The Ministry of Health also said that the new cases were reported in Jeddah (586), Riyadh (504), Makkah (159), Dammam (110), Madinah (95), Hofuf (55), Jubail (50), Khobar (33), Dhahran (29), Buraidah (25), Taif (22), Qatif (21), Madhah (18), Mubarraz (18), Hail (17), Khulais (13), Safwa (10), Najran (8), Kharj (8), Baha (7), Lith (7), Jazan (6), Sulayyil (6), Khamis Mushait (6), Yanbu (5), Deba (5), Hada (4), Muzahmiya (4), Jafr (3), Unaizah (3), Qunfudhah (3), Bukayriyah (2), Quoz (2), Mujaradah (2), Khafji (2), Nairyah (2), Abqaiq (2), Hafar Al-Batin (2), Sharurah (2), Majmaah (2), Zulfi (2), Wadi Al-Faraa (2), Ula (1), Uyun Al-Jiwa (1), Dhahran Al-Janoub (1), Tanuma (1), Sahn (1), Darb (1), Dhamad (1), Samtah (1), Rabigh (1), Hottah Bani Tamim (1), Marat (1), Tamir (1), Wadi Al-Dawasir (1) and Tabuk (1).

The Ministry of Health also said that 23 new deaths have been reported; bringing the total deaths to 503.

Regarding the lab tests in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as many as 16,200 new lab tests have been conducted, bringing the total tests to date to 822,769.

"The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide has jumped to 6,082,549 cases, of which 2,575,166 cases have recovered to date. The COVID-19 death toll has jumped to 369,529," the Ministry of Health said.
