Bahrain, UAE condemn terrorist attack on tourist bus in Egypt

Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates have condemned the terrorist attack on a tourist bus near the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo, Egypt, next to the pyramids in Giza in Egypt injuring a number of people.

"TheMinistry of Foreign Affairs wishes the injured a quick recovery and affirms thefull solidarity of the Kingdom of Bahrain with Egypt against all forms ofviolence and terrorism and in favor of its security and stability," read astatement by Bahraini Foreign Affairs ministry.

Bahrain alsoreiterated the firm position of the Kingdom that rejects violence, extremismand terrorism of all forms and calls for deracinating this dangerous scourge ofterrorism and drying out its fund sources.

Meanwhile, TheMinistry of Foreign Affairs in the United Arab Emirates also issued a statementshowing support to the Egyptian people and government after the terroristattack.

"The UAE strongly condemns this criminal act that threatens the security and stability of Egypt. It also expressed the UAE's position of solidarity with the government and people of Egypt in their fight against violence and extremism." the statement said.

"Suchcowardly acts of terrorism will not undermine the resolve of the Egyptianpeople and their insistence on continuing to confront terrorism withoutreservations."

"Thisterrorist incident is completely incompatible with all religious andhumanitarian values and principles," the statement added.

The UAEcontinues to adhere to its complete rejection of all forms of violence andterrorism targeting all without distinction, the statement said.

It expressedwishes for the speedy recovery of those injured.
