Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef participated in the “G7–OECD” ministerial session held as part of the Critical Minerals Forum, organized by the OECD in Istanbul, stressing that the Kingdom’s geographic location and economic weight qualify it to play a pivotal role as a bridge linking mineral-producing and consuming regions worldwide.
During his remarks, Alkhorayef noted that the Kingdom is working to consolidate this role by building quality partnerships, activating multilateral dialogue platforms, enhancing international cooperation, and supporting the development of global mineral supply chains amid growing demand for minerals linked to the energy and technology sectors.
The minister noted that the Future Minerals Forum, hosted annually by the Kingdom, represents a global platform for dialogue and cooperation in the mining sector, contributing to aligning international efforts and boosting consensus on the importance of securing minerals and enhancing the resilience of related supply chains.
Concluding his speech, he invited participating ministers to attend the sixth edition of the Future Minerals Forum, scheduled to be held in Riyadh early next year, stressing that the forum continues to solidify its position as a global platform for enhancing partnerships and supporting the sustainability of mineral supply chains.
