WFP reports serious challenges in Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen

The World Food Programme has confirmed that its teams have faced serious challenges in areas of Yemen under Houthi control.

The agency told Al Arabiya that more than 100,000 people have been displaced in Yemen due to the recent escalation by the Houthis, and that it is considering alternative routes to deliver aid into the country.

This comes after renewed escalation by Houthi militias across the territories they control, as the Yemeni army continues its efforts to confront the group and reclaim areas.
