Macron: Gaza situation 'shames us all'

French President Emmanuel Macron said that "the situation in Gaza shames us all."

Speaking at the United Nations, he added: "Should we simply watch this scene that shames us all? Absolutely not... Where is our credibility if we remain 'with our arms folded' in the face of Gaza?" Israel responded angrily to Macron's remarks.

On Wednesday, the Peace Council led by former US President Donald Trump unveiled a six-month, $2.45 billion plan for Gaza's recovery, outlining a post-war vision that includes reconstruction, governance, and security arrangements in the enclave.
