Trump says military strikes against Iran remain under consideration

US President Donald Trump said on Sunday that he is continually considering the option of resuming military strikes against Iran.

In an interview with Axios, Trump stated that Iran is seeking an agreement, noting that talks with Tehran are expected to take place this week.

The US president added that the conditions set by Iran do not align with the United States’ expectations for a potential deal.

Trump also noted that the US military continues to facilitate the passage of large shipments of oil through the Strait of Hormuz to ensure stable supplies.
