US reaffirms support for Lebanon-Israel dialogue process

The US State Department said the United States remains committed to supporting the dialogue process between Lebanon and Israel.

It added that the tripartite framework is the path to peace between Israel and Lebanon. In this context, the ambassadors of Lebanon and Israel met to discuss the upcoming round of negotiations, according to Al Arabiya.

This comes after Lebanon postponed the round of negotiations with Israel that was scheduled for this week in Rome, following Israeli military movements in the Al-Tahir Heights area of southern Lebanon.
