Ali Khalil Abadi, deputy governor of Sistan and Baluchestan for security and law enforcement affairs, told the official IRNA news agency that armed assailants targeted a vehicle transporting support equipment and food supplies for local Basij members.

According to the Baluchistan Human Rights Documentation Network, the two men were traveling in an unmarked vehicle from Dehak to Kourin when they came under fire. The network, citing video footage from the scene, reported that both were killed inside the vehicle after being shot in the head.
The Hal Vash website said the targeted vehicle was a Capra pickup truck without license plates, confirming that the victims were IRGC security personnel.
The site noted that the “Shahid Mirhosseini Operational Command” is a unit of the IRGC ground forces in Sistan and Baluchestan, operating under the Quds regional command.
