Oman postpones regional meeting in Salalah to foster consensus

Oman announced on Sunday the postponement of the regional meeting that was scheduled to take place on Monday in the city of Salalah, in an effort to achieve consensus among participating parties.

Omani Foreign Minister Badr Al-Busaidi explained in a post on the X platform that the decision to postpone comes as part of a commitment to fostering dialogue aimed at supporting stability and ongoing cooperation in the region.

The Oman News Agency added that a new date for the meeting will be set later, emphasizing the importance of creating suitable conditions for constructive dialogue that contributes to sustainable understandings, supports the region’s security and stability, and meets the aspirations of its people for cooperation and peace.
