Nepal floods leave 6,150 missing after border disaster

Nepal’s Disaster Management Authority has reported that the number of people missing after floods struck a border region between Nepal and China in late August has risen to 6,150, following updated data and verification.

Authority spokesperson Shanti Mahat said the figures were compiled after gathering details from district offices and conducting thorough verification processes.

The agency added that 1,403 bodies have been recovered so far, with only 105 identified to date.
