Houthis using civilians as human shields in southern Taiz, analyst says

Political analyst Yasser Saleh has said that Houthi forces are using civilians as human shields in Al-Wazi'iyah, south of Taiz.

Speaking in an interview broadcast on Al-Hadath, Saleh added that monitoring and tracking Houthi movements across all fronts is a key part of the ongoing military operations, especially as the group continues to violate international laws by targeting civilian sites.

He went on to say that the Houthis are using schools to mobilize and are forcing students to act as human shields, attempting to provoke errors by the Yemeni air force that could result in civilian casualties. According to Saleh, the group has compelled students to attend classes during official hours while militia leaders conduct field operations from the same locations.
