Red Cross Delivers Surgical Supplies to Khartoum Hospitals

The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has managed to deliver vital surgical supplies to seven hospitals in Khartoum, it was reported today. Head of the ICRC delegation in Sudan Alfonso Perez said, in a statement, only 20% of health facilities in Khartoum are still operating, noting that hospitals are in dire need of water, electricity and a safe environment for patients and staff.

He added that the supplies were delivered in cooperation with the Sudanese Red Crescent.
