Qatar's Nakilat says LNG tanker attacked in the Gulf

Qatar Gas Transport Company (Nakilat) announced that its liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker 'Al Mayeda' was attacked by unidentified objects while sailing in the Arabian Gulf.

According to a company statement, the incident occurred on Friday evening, with no injuries reported among the crew on board.

The company added that the incident did not impact the environment, and the vessel remains safe and fully operational.

Nakilat stated that an assessment of the incident is underway, and it continues to coordinate directly with the vessel, its crew, and regional maritime security authorities to ensure the crew's safety.
