Syria tells Israel there are no plans for Turkish military base at Abu Al-Duhur

Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Al-Shibani said he has made it clear to Israel that there are no plans to establish a Turkish military base at Abu Al-Duhur airbase, which was struck by Israel on Tuesday.

Al-Shibani noted that the site is being rehabilitated for use by the Syrian Air Force, according to Reuters.

The minister stated: "There was never any intention to set up a Turkish base there, nor to establish a permanent Turkish military presence or deploy Turkish troops at the site," stressing that "Israel's strike on the base is unjustified."
