Qatar says diplomatic efforts ongoing over US-Iran talks

Qatar's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that diplomatic efforts are ongoing with all parties involved in talks between the United States and Iran, as part of efforts to contain tensions and advance negotiations.

Foreign ministry spokesperson Majed Al-Ansari said Qatar continues to communicate with various parties to reach a diplomatic solution to the crisis, without providing further details on the nature of the talks or when they might resume, according to Al Arabiya.

He added that there are currently no plans for direct negotiations between the United States and Iran, noting that the current circumstances do not allow for such talks. Communication between Washington and Tehran is currently taking place only through intermediaries, in order to bridge differences and keep channels open, paving the way for negotiations to resume when conditions permit.
